Starting With Marketing Academy Week Six Review Using Web Video to Drive Traffic and Build Your List

Dean Holland's Starting With Marketing Academy wraps up the online marketing seminar with the sixth module called "Screen Kings".
As any savvy online marketer knows, keeping up with the latest trends in marketing is key to driving more traffic to your website.
Dean recommends using video (Youtube) as a new way to drive traffic and build your list.
Screen Kings By stepping out of your comfort zone, you can successfully use video to build trust and rapport with your customers.
After all, the Internet can be quite the anonymous place, where you may conduct business "virtually" and never actually see the shopkeeper when you make your purchase.
So the idea of using video is to show people who you are and that , yes, you really are a "real" person.
There are two types of videos: On screen and slide deck.
With the slide deck (PowerPoint) video, you record your voice over the presentation and increase the level of the relationship.
The slide deck presentation can come across as more professional but is not as personal as the on screen video.
Using your webcam, handheld digital video camera or even your cell phone, by shooting yourself talking on screen, increases credibility, shows your personality and helps build a stronger relationship.
Dean Holland suggested using TubeMogul for video distribution, although you can always upload to YouTube as well.
I have used the Camtasia Studio 6 software to easily capture video for the slide deck I made recently.
When posting the video, do not forget to insert the hyperlink to your website in the description box, thus providing a source of free traffic!
